Frequently Asked Questions
Can anyone use Reflexology?
Generally speaking, the answer is Yes. There are some conditions which are classed as a Contra-indication to reflexology, but these are few and you will be asked for some information when you make your initial enquiry. All ages from the youngest babies upwards can use reflexology safely and with confidence. Please note that clients under the age of 16 will require the consent of their parent or guardian and also the presence of parent / guardian during the reflexology session. Sessions for children and elderly clients are generally shorter in length and lighter in touch.
How many sessions will I need?
As you are unique you will find your own level of reflexology frequency; much depends upon your general health, whether you are taking medication (prescribed or self-prescribed), your diet and lifestyle. Most clients report positively following five or six reflexology sessions held at a weekly interval.
How much will this cost?
Initial Consultation and session at the clinic is £40.00 (please allow up to 2 hrs)
Subsequent treatments £30.00 (50-60 minutes).
HOME VISITS by arrangement:
Please be aware that I only accept requests for home visits from clients who have attended my clinic initially, or as a direct referral from an existing client.
Consultation and first session: Calculated by the hour to include treatment, travel and disbursements.
Up to 5 mile radius: £40.00
Between 5 & 10 mile radius: £45.00
Between 10 & 15 mile radius: £55.00
Can I be accompanied?
Yes, subject to prior notification.
How will I feel after my reflexology?
This varies from person to person, and you will be given written aftercare advice for home reference with contact numbers for queries or concerns. Most clients feel very relaxed, and I would encourage you to 'listen' to your body at this time; if you feel the need for a sit down or a nap, do just that. If you have an energy rush, great! But, use some of the energy and keep some in reserve!
How do I pay?
Payment is welcomed by cash or cheque, or if you wish to pay for your sessions by BACS details can be provided. Payment for your first appointment (consultation and treatment), is required 48 hours in advance of the appointment date.
