I am qualified in the following therapies

  • Clinical Reflexology (Full Member of the Association of Reflexologists, I am also a Fellow of the AoR).
  • Pregnancy & Maternity Reflexology - Support for you and your partner throughout your Pregnancy leading to active birth
  • Reiki (Traditional Usui)
  • Crystal Healing
  • Indian Head Massage (with or without oils)
  • Spinal Touch Back Therapy (A "light touch" accupressure therapy)
  • Rei-flexology (Chris Stormer's Universal Technique)
  • Hot & Cold Stone Massage Therapy (Jane Scrivner trained)
  • Hopi Ear Candling

TALKS / DEMONSTRATIONS / COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS:
I am also a qualified teacher and hold community workshops in complementary health at local venues. I am also available to provide talks and demonstrations on most of the therapies listed; these events usually last about one and a half hours and are competitively priced. I normally cover most of Carmarthenshire for these events, email me if you wish to schedule a talk or demonstration.

It's an informal way to experience complementary health, learn some of the background, ask questions and provide easy to use techniques which may help common conditions. Often a talk or demonstration will give you a good idea of what is involved in the particular therapy of your choice, and thereafter community workshops can be individually delivered to your group spread over 4/6 weeks. This would enable you to use the therapy on a "home" basis to support your health, and that of your family.

Indian Head Massage is a good example and a short course will provide you with adequate knowledge and application to help a number of common complaints including shoulder stiffness, sinus problems (especially useful for the children in the family following a cold), congested hearing and general ear problems.

If you are a community group, Church group, WI, Mother & Toddler Group, U3A or similar and would like further information on this type of event either phone or use the Contact email, without obligation.

Complementary health therapies may help many conditions including musculo-skeletal problems, circulatory and digestive disorders, natural menopause, fertility issues, pregnancy, preparation for birth, attending labour, post-natal care, together with all stress-related situations.

We seem to be having a mild winter (so far!), but very dull and overcast with little sight of the winter sun or sky. This makes it difficult for us to access sunlight and Vitamin D, which may compromise the absorption of calcium from our diet. This could be a good time to actually take a Vitamin D supplement even in the short term for our general health support during this season of shorter, dark days and long nights.

However, when you get the chance what better way to top up your Vitamin D than a beach walk, tidying up the garden, or having a good clear out in the garage or shed so that they are ready for spring and planting... Yes, I know I am looking forward and we should all live in the "now" but you have to plan a little bit too!....

Snippets of advice that will benefit you whatever the Season...

1. Eat according to the Season; look for produce that is grown locally too. Homemade soups are always a joy... they always vary in each making as the ingredients will vary, add fish and Omega 3 into your diets and you will be well on the way to good health for the winter. Don't forget that we also "eat" with our eyes, so a visual feast can spark the pickiest of appetites! Try out a new recipe - the web is awash with ideas - change of season, change of food too! Enjoy!
2. Always, no matter what the season, make sure you are thoroughly hydrated, nothing beats water in it's natural state to provide your body with the tools for optimum health....
3. Give reflexology or Indian Head Massage a go! The very least you can expect from a session of these therapies is to feel chilled out and unwound! Taster Sessions are available for £15.00 for 15 minutes, with no obligation.
4. Start your day with a glass of warm water having added a decent slice of lemon; it's really an excellent way of gently waking up the digestive system, gives the liver a tweak and gently cleanses the colon.
5. Swap your usual white rice for brown.... it has more nutrition than the white variety, has a "nutty" flavour, sustains you better and is another gentle colon cleanser...

YOU can use complementary health therapies to help your general health and wellbeing and to cope better with the pressures of life by giving yourself the gift of a little time just for you; try an introductory session to give you an idea of what is involved...

With good health and a balanced outlook almost any problem can be approached with a clearer mind. So I invite you to book an appointment to support your mind, body and spirit through the use of complementary health.

A small investment that will benefit you and your family.
